Chamber Member of the Month
Formed in 2002, Affordable Health Solutions is downtown at 155 Fleet Street in the second IOS Business Center's location. As an independent insurance broker, I have access to nearly every product available in New Hampshire for both individual and group clients. Though my primary focus is major medical health insurance, I also provide additional insurance services such as life, disability, dental, vision, short term medical, and supplemental. My early focus was the individual market where I worked with the self-employed as well as individuals who lacked access to group health benefits where they worked. Today, my business is relatively balanced between individuals and business owners who provide group benefits for their employees. The Rising Cost of Healthcare is the primary concern of my clients. With double digit annual increases, the answer has been to reduce benefits by increasing deductibles, co-insurance, and co-pays to keep premiums manageable. Business owners have also reduced their contributions to employee health plans. This cost shifting does nothing to address the real problem and only burdens employees' paychecks. The Health Savings Account Solution is, in my opinion, the single best way to attack the problem. HSA-compliant health plans are the most significant means to execute consumer-driven health care (CDHC). I have many success stories where employers and employees save money while actually improving health care coverage. Allow me a few minutes of your time and I'll show you how.
